Subject: [attw-l] Announcing the LCMND 2011 conference

ATTW members:

For the first time since 2007, North Dakota State University will be hosting the annual LCMND conference, 23-24 Sept. 2011. The theme of Language & Power lends itself to many disciplines, including professional/technical/scientific communication.

You'll find two documents attached:

 1. The CFP for the 2011 conference of the Languages & Cultures Circle of Manitoba & North Dakota
 2. The proposal form for the 2011 LCMND conference

The LCMND 2011 conference website is found at http://english.ndsu.edu/news_and_events/languagesculturescircleofmanitobanorthdakot/

Also, if you'd like to see a description and an ordering link for the book Revisiting the Past through Rhetorics of Memory and Amnesia, a collection of 20 of the best papers delivered at the LCMND conference when it last met in Fargo, you'll find the links at http://www.c-s-p.org/Flyers/Revisiting-the-Past-through-Rhetorics-of-Memory-and-Amnesia--Selected-Papers-from-the-50th-Meeting-o1-4438-2555-7.htm

Please feel free to distribute this announcement widely via listservs and by forwarding to colleagues.

On behalf of my program co-chair, Robert Kibler, Minot State University, I hope that you'll send us a paper proposal for the 2011 LCMND.
