yes, according to the makers 12 MPH equals 80-90 RPM. Don't know how long a
person needs to maintain that speed but I did over 2-1/2 hours at 12 MPH
today and do notice a difference. Something is going on. I understand
some researchers think forced cycling retrains your brain to use another
part of it to do what dopamine used to do.

The Theracycle is a lot more expensive than my slower ACTIVcycle, but
probably worth it. Anyhow I'm hooked on it, can't do much else. I watch
TV when cycling. Will keep a record and post progress periodically.

Dear Roy,

Are you able to do the Theracycle at the recommended cadence? I got the
impression from the research that reaching a particular cadence of 80-90
rpm was important but I don't know how that translates into your speed
of 12 mph. When I ride, my cadence might be fast, but my speed might be
slow or vice versa depending on how I manage the gearing.

In any case, something about the biking movement must be important as my
dad was a serious runner when he got PD and that did not help him at all.

You rock! Congratulations.
