Thank you everyone for your responses to my inquiry about PD related anxiety. I may ask my neuro for Ativan. I like the last part about not needing water and being taste free. If I let a Xanax linger on my tongue for any length of time it has an awful taste! Thanks again. Roberta In a message dated 9/16/2011 2:01:38 A.M. Very calming for most and usually works within 15 minutes. I know some people who have been prescribed a maintance dose of say 2 a day, but most take it as the need arises. It can also be a great relief just to know it exists, Sometimes a panic attack can be averted simply by knowing you have an out if you need one. If you watch any TV doc shows - you will hear them say things like "Push 5 milligrams of ativan stat!" when people are in distress. In the hospital its usually IV, but in real life they are tiny llitle white pills. Big big bonus is that they dissolve on the tongue in seconds. No swallowing and no need for water - pretty much taste free. -----Original Message----- From: innarellar <[log in to unmask]> To: PARKINSN <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Thu, Sep 15, 2011 1:00 am Subject: Re: Anxiety Thank you for the info.
