Meg,
Yes, I have developed anxiety from having pd. I was dxed with pd 16 years ago, when I was 40. Two or three years ago I developed anxiety from the parkinson's. My neuro put me on xanax and that seems to control it well. Apparently anxiety is common in people with pd. Before my dx, I was very laid back and never was the type of person to worry or fear silly things. Like I said xanax does help me. I take 0.5mg and can take it 4 times a day if needed prn. I usually take one in the evening before bedtime and it usually does the job.
Good Luck!
Pat

Also so fast acting that it gives u the space to try deep breathing, yoga,
isualization etc. Takes that horrifying panic edge off so u can move ahead
nder your own steam....

rather see me take more Xanax then increase PD meds. Thanks. Roberta
