As a person with Parkinson's disease, I am writing to urge you to support
the Medicare Access to Rehabilitation Services Act of 2011 (H.R. 1546/S.
829).

Parkinson's is a progressive neurodegenerative disease for which there is
no cure. People with PD often contend with the disease for a period of
decades. It is in everyone's interest for PD patients to function as well
as possible for as long as possible, maintaining independence and
productivity and deferring the need for the most intensive and costly care.
Parkinson's patients, and indeed all patients who can benefit from physical
therapy, should be encouraged to utilize physical therapy services—not shut
out of them by short-sighted caps.
