I am trained as a scientist but also have Parkinson's. It is always best to avoid personal attacks (as opposed to
sharing pertinent information). Bothering to post such attacks reduces the quality of the discourse past the point of
usefulness.

This is especially true when the personal attacks are motivated by ideology. Frankly, I doubt anyone with Parkinson’s
is unaware that, for example, there are ethical/moral issues surrounding stem cell research. Please don't bother trying
to constantly derail helpful conversations about potential therapies by getting shrill about the ethical issues attached
to them. It would be much better to simply respect the profound quandary Parkinson’s people face in evaluating how to
proceed.

Sigmund Freud referred to squabbles such as these as the “narcissism of small differences”. They contribute little
to building a stronger Parkinson’s community.
