You know, I am not a fan of banging my head against brick walls and have long since stopped trying to debate this stuff. Everyone is entitled and welcome to their beliefs. What I don't understand and will always fight against is why one persons beliefs must bar me and others from exercising our beliefs. If you don't believe in stem cell cures, more power to you, don't use them. But why can't I?

I understand the fact that there is DNA in every cell, but it all started
t conception, a unique permanent ID that is undisputable. To me, that is a
ignature of life, and doesn't depend on any arbitrary proclamation of when
t begins.

NA is there from the beginning but it is in every cell in your body and you
on't consider each cell a person. Are you saying then that DNA should not
e disturbed in any way? Should IVF be banned?

> I respect your opinion on when a human being begins life. But at the
moment of conception, it is my understanding that an incredible event
occurs; a one of a kind stamp that will carry that individual's identity
from that moment and will survive his or her own death: DNA. Am I wrong,
does DNA come along sometime later in the development of the "fetus"? If
there is science that refutes my understanding of when DNA is established,
 I'd appreciate seeing it.

ou must know that during IVF, a few ova are fertilized and then frozen.
hen
sed, they inplant one fertilized ovum in the uterus. If it works, a baby is
orn 9 months later. What happens to the frozen fertilized ´embryos´? If the
ouple does not want any more children, those ´embryos´ are destroyed. If
ot
estroyed, they can be used to produce a line of stem cells that could
inally
ontribute to a cure or at least a treatment for some disease. You prefer
hose embryos to be destroyed? your choice but some people prefer to use
hem
o help sick people.
prefer hope to and end in a bin
