Hi, all.

Since many people are booking their travel and accommodation for Congress now, I thought I’d better send out a quick heads-up concerning the logistics of the Inkshed conference for those planning to attend, to help people make arrangements for both more easily...

The Inkshed meetings will be at the Multifaith Centre, an excellent facility here on the St. George (i.e. downtown) campus.  I’ll be posting contact details for various accommodation options (both U of T residences and nearby hotels) on the Inkshed Newsletter website later this week, along with information re online registration, the conference’s featured speakers,  and so on.  (Reason for the delay: I’m waiting for confirmation re the online registration payment setup, which should come in the next couple of days.)

We’ll be getting underway first thing in the morning on May 29th (coffee and goodies beginning at 8:30, followed by our first featured session).  This means that people attending Congress will probably want to make the trip from Kitchener-Waterloo to Toronto on the evening of the 28th.  A good approach would be to use the CASLL listserve to organize carpooling—many people will be renting vehicles to get to K-W in the first place, and of course many of our colleagues from U of T will be driving there, so there should be some possibilities.  A few people have expressed interest in chartering a bus for the Congress-to-Inkshed trip; if enough folks notify me that they would like to participate in this, I’ll look into the cost and see what we can do.

Please check the Inkshed Newsletter web site in a few days’ time for further details.

Cheers!

Brock
