           Meet PAN's Government Relations Team
            The Parkinson's Action Network is the unified voice of the Parkinson's community on numerous public policy issues affecting the Parkinson's community.  Though PAN relies on its extensive grassroots network across the country to educate our nation's elected officials on Parkinson's issues, PAN's government relations team in its DC office helps pave the way.            April is Parkinson's Awareness Month
            Members of the Parkinson's community across the country honor April as Parkinson's Awareness Month.  There are many ways to commemorate this special occasion, and the Parkinson's Action Network (PAN) has created a toolkit of ideas you can explore in your local community!  

           
           

           PAN Showcases Postdoctoral Investigators in Impressive Poster Session
            PAN hosted its inaugural Postdoctoral Investigator Poster Session in Washington, D.C. on Monday, February 27, featuring the Parkinson's research work of 17 young investigators from across the country.            Louisiana's Sister Mary Daniel and Illinois' Roger Halleen Receive Advocacy Awards
            The Parkinson's Action Network bestowed two of its prestigious advocacy awards at the Samuelson Reception and Scientific Poster Session on February 27 in Washington, D.C.  To read about Sister Mary's and Roger's work, click here!

            April is Parkinson's Awareness Month, and in honor of this special occasion, the Parkinson's Action Network is excited to present its annual online Tulip Garden.            Save the Date:  2012 Udall Awards Dinner
            Join the Parkinson's Action Network on October 3, 2012 for the Morris K. Udall Awards Dinner.  Congratulate Florida's Michael Church and Gretchen Garie-Church on their Milly Kondracke Award for Outstanding Advocacy!  The Honorable Patrick J. Kennedy is special program guest. Dinner Co-Chairs are Diane and John Rehm and Morton Kondracke.  Honorary Dinner Chair is Michael J. Fox.  It's an exciting night in Washington, and proceeds from the dinner support the work of the Parkinson's Action Network.             The Parkinson's Action Network will hold its open-to-the-public 2013 Research and Public Policy Forum in Washington, D.C., on February 25 – 27, 2013.  Watch your email inbox for details in the coming months!  

           
           

           Medtronic Recruiting Global Heroes
            PAN supporter Medtronic, Inc. is recruiting runners from around the world who benefit from medical technology to participate in the seventh annual Medtronic Global Heroes program.  Up to 25 runners will be selected to receive a paid entry for themselves and a guest to the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon or the Medtronic TC 10 Mile and a travel package that includes airfare and accommodations for the Global Hero and guest.
