I think that our U.S.  President, Obama and our Vice President Biden would listen IF they knew ALL of the International Parkinson  folks that tie into this  list were aware of the consequences  that will occur if the U.S cuts research $. What5 goes on in the Unites States of America is important to the World. I only hope that the U.S. doesn't let you down. Trillion's for War, peanuts for Medical breakthrough's.   Instead of contacting the  mess of "no cares" in the U.S. senate/house , have a representation of International folks with the disease, express their thoughts about the pending cuts. Sort of sneak through the back door and get their attention. BTW, don't we have active lobbyist's fighting for recognition?
I have personally contacted my local my respective representatives in the past to ask for their help in passing legislation or voting for Bills to help us. I then get canned responses. But, nothing changes. Lip service to eternity. For myself a cure is no longer important. It's my children and their children that I'm concerned about. I'm sure that the rest of you feel the same way. Well, enough soapbox.

we've tried similar things in the UK - it doesn't work, I suspect because the politicos just don't bother to listen to the subhuman disabled people.

Help us make this day a success and ask your friends and family to join us in telling Congress we need cures, not cuts!
