There was a time when I used the track ball with my left hand, and entered a lot of numbers on a keypad on the right side of my computer's keyboard. A) I got used to going lefty with the track ball, and B) I got very fast at entering numbers. I also remember the keypad as having the four directional arrows doubled up on the keypad, which might be useful for navigating around a spreadsheet or PDF form. Give it a try.
