Brin's idea of searching large data bases for correlations as an alternative to the hypothesis testing of traditional science is, I think, a good one. It is true it is taking way too long to find cures. At this rate we will not live to ever be free of PD. An open-ended approach to quickly search the data already out there appeals to me. Thanks, Roger, for this detailed article of Brin's approach is helpful. I had heard of him but don't think I've ever seen anything that explains what he is trying to do. Leave it to Google!!!! -----Original Message----- From: Roger Seymour Sent: Friday, May 03, 2013 3:00 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: New Approach to Finding a Cure? Our French counterparts on 'parkliste' pointed out this article on Sergey Brin of Google. I hadn't seen anything on PIEN. Hope I'm not repeating.
