Margaret, bladder infections are a constant problem in PWP. They don't
drink enough fluids and often maintain urine in their bladder for a longer
time. Add prostate problems to that mix (which many PWP have) which doesn't
allow the bladder to fully empty and you have a perfect formula for bladder
infections.

Your husband's weakness is also a common problem in people who are
neurologically impaired following any kind of infection. Give him time to
regain his strength. Once he gets home (if that is your plan) he will
improve more quickly because he will have access to the food that he likes
and will be more motivated to move in an environment in which he is
familiar.
