Hi, Walter. I'm 12 years in with the last two being on effexor (venlafaxene) as an antidepressant. Went up from 37.5mg to 75mg, had trouble handling 112, it made me anxious and jumpy, so I settled back at 75mg and I'm handling that much ok. I have always had more trouble handling the depression and so on, rather than the tremors and other physical symptoms. I'm not assuming anything about your character, and mean the following merely as an attempt to help you and answer your question: I just have to say that you have to have some backbone some will, in dealing with the emotional effects of PD. It is a slippery wicket in that the anxiety you feel is propelled by the jitters which propels the anxiety etc. I would make a couple of recommendations based on personal experience, and of course, in consultation with your MD: first, start taking extra vitamin D3, and second, soak up some rays, either in your brightest window or, preferably, while walking or doing something pleasant and/or aerobic out of doors. The positive effects also have a tendency to combine and multiply. Hang in there. There is a chronic and general feeling of worry and uptightness. But we are apprehensive aboutstarting Effexor or Celexa, which have been recommended. Please advise. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off Parkinsn send a message to: mailto:[log in to unmask] In the body of the message put: signoff parkinsn ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off Parkinsn send a message to: mailto:[log in to unmask] In the body of the message put: signoff parkinsn
