This might be of interest to some on the list. The blog entry linked in the first paragraph provides an accessible overview of the videos with links to them. JA

Dear all,

In July, I asked folks on a few lists for links to video and audio interviews with faculty talking about writing in their disciplines. I circulated the links I received (see below), but my colleague, Alexandra Cavallaro, and I also just posted a blog entry that highlights a few of the video series. It didn't seem like there was a place that indexed these videos or talked about their importance--hence this post. Please feel free to circulate!

The blog, WAC@Illinois, is addressed to instructors across campus, including those who have participated in WAC seminars.

Dear all,

As promised, here's the revised list of video (or audio) interviews with instructors about writing in their fields. I've also included a few other categories. Many thanks to those who replied!

Best,
Andrea

Dear all,

The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign's Center for Writing Studies recently started a monthly blog series for UIUC instructors who are currently incorporating WAC approaches in their classes or would like to do so.

For research for a blog post, I'm looking for writing programs that have created and posted video or audio interviews with instructors (or even upper-level undergraduates and graduate students) about writing in their fields (e.g., their writing process, the link between research and writing, discipline-specific writing).

So far, I've found just a few programs that have done this:

I'm sure there are others out there. If you know of more, please let me know! I'll circulate the revised list.

Thanks so much.
