Dear Colleagues and copied to Ryan –

I am writing to ask for your help.

As you may know, I work as the volunteer president of TIRF – The International Research Foundation for English Language Education. My colleague, Ryan Damerow, whom I’ve copied on this message, is the foundation’s Executive Assistant.

We have just opened the competition for the 2014 Doctoral Dissertation Grants. These are awards of up to US $5,000 to help support doctoral candidates as they carry out their research and complete their dissertations. I have pasted a text below that you could use to publicize this request for proposals.

Applicants do not have to be US or UK citizens, members of TESOL or IATEFL, etc.

I have pasted a text below that you could use to post and distribute. Please would you share this information as widely as possible with your colleagues in Canada? We want to broaden our reach considerably by letting doctoral candidates everywhere know this opportunity exists.

Can you let me know please if/how the information is distributed? We are trying to track the way we publicize this wonderful opportunity.

Please let Ryan and me know if you have any questions or comments.

Thank you so much! I hope you are well. Kathi Bailey
