I am new to DBS (Jan 30/14) but until I titrated off my meds I was getting a lot of dyskinesias related to the med and charge combo. Have you tried turning down your voltage? Or turning it off?

DBS is a life changer for sure. No meds = no dyskinesia, minimal if any tremor, no rigidity, and against all odds, apparently minimal balance issues.

So my surgery was yesterday and all went well or so I thought. I left the hospital feeling pretty good and before I left the medtronics representative put in the settings I had previously..About 10 last night I started get get dyskinesias in my left leg. Through the night they got stronger and stronger and into my left arm and hand. Now i know why I got DBS. Can't believe how bad it is and my meds are doing nothing. Of course as soon it is morning I am calling the medtronics salesman, my neurologist and the surgeon. My husband wanted to take me to the ER but what are the chances that someone can program you there. Plus you don't have the luxury of moving around. I hope they can fix it. I could not live the rest of my life like this. MY question is has anyone had a similar experience
