Hello all and apologies for cross-posting,

Saint Mary’s University and the Atlantic Writing Centres Committee would like to invite you to submit papers and workshops for the Academic Writing & English Language Learners Conference, 2014 — October 3-4, 2014 | Saint Mary’s University, Halifax, Nova Scotia

The theme is Practice in Place and is designed for faculty and writing centre professionals who teach and tutor ELL students. The goal of the conference is to provide tools and approaches that may be used directly in the classroom and tutoring sessions.

Call for papers

Any session on a topic related to Academic Writing & English Language Learners is welcome. Successful submissions will include a practical approach that conference attendees can use in their academic communities. Sessions will be in a 30-min paper and 1-hour workshop format. Please indicate preference in your submission.

We encourage participation from all academic fields and disciplines. Please submit your 250 word proposals by 4 August 2014 via e-mail: [log in to unmask]
