I froze once half-way across the floor at my local bank (they've got a rather ornate building with quite a hike from the door to the cashiers). As I stood cursing, an elderly lady said "Parkinson ?" I said yes, she walked round behind me, then "Boo !" - I unfroze. She said it had often worked on her late husband - she didn't say if he'd died of fright, though......
