I used a laser torch while on my mobility scooter (in the faint hope of getting dozy local pedestrians to see me coming before I got within half an inch of their noses) - it frightened several small dogs but amused some kids. Most people walk around the shops in a trance - their eyes are open but there's no-one at home.Gets difficult to avoid them.
