Dear Colleagues (with apologies for cross-posting):
A newly formed group called the Consortium on Graduate Communication
is having its inaugural Colloquium in Toronto on March 25 from 1:00
- 7:00. The event is designed for those with an interest in teaching
academic writing/speaking to graduate students. John Swales and
Christine Feak will be the key note speakers, and talks will also be
given by the Consortium's founders, Nigel Caplan and Michelle Cox,
and by the local organizer, Jane Freeman. There will be three
roundtable discussions, with topics chosen based on the interests
expressed through the registration process.
Space is limited. The registration fee is $50. More information and
the registration link is available at
https://gradconsortium.wordpress.com/meetings/colloquium2015/.
If you're interested, you'll need to register by Feb. 26th. Please
feel free to pass this information on to others who might be
interested.
