Oops--pushed send too soon!just wanted to add that my mother, despite her
protestations that she was perfectly capable of driving safely, did not
actually drive after receiving that renewal. Having the license satisfied
her pride and, there were people glad to drive her wherever she needed to
go.

The issue of driving is particularly painful and difficult, given the
car-based culture we have created. I'm hoping some new technologies will be
able to extend the safe driving life of people with Parkinson's.
