my niece was telling me that she has a friend whose Hep-C treatment is $80,000, but she pays a $20 monthly copayment. I have emailed CVS/Caremark to find out what my insurance would pay. I know my DBS was very expensive (about $!50,000); battery replacements are $60,000 and in 2010 I had to pay $2,000. Don’t know what this recent (Aug 2015) replacement will cost me. this whole thing is really shocking!!! -----Original Message----- From: Trauti Boyd Sent: Tuesday, October 20, 2015 3:08 AM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: Re: survival rates yes, ray - rare diseases are expensive to treat but nowhere as expensive as here. 392 150mg capsules of tasigna (possibly enough for a 1 year treatment) are selling for about $17,000 in germany if there is no insurance. scroll down the page to see pricing ;) http://www.onmeda.de/Medikament/Tasigna+150+mg|+-200+mg+Hartkapseln--wirkung+dosierung.html sure makes you wonder! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rayilyn Brown" <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Tuesday, October 20, 2015 2:32 AM Subject: Re: survival rates > good idea, Trauti, I've already emailed my neuro. he does research at > the Barrow Institute.
