Hi Don, and welcome to the List. its good to hear a new voice, a voice, in
fact. we used to be a lot busier and many people I "knew" don’t post any
more. I'm thinking its because we've all gotten worse and its harder to
type. I'm 82, was diagnosed in 1996. 10, 15 years ago I was in good shape
compared to now. Our posts are depressing because of so many years of this
disease, but we forget that there are newbies all the time. Please ask
questions and I think you will get a good response.
We have a lot of "experts" on this List.

By the way have you had or considered DBS brain surgery? In my opinion it’s
the only thing that has made a real difference.
Every PD patient is different so I hope you have a better experience than
so many of us.

Ray

Subject: interesting BBC article

Hi--

My name is Don Kodner, and I've been following this listserv for a while,
but never posted before. I was diagnosed with Parkinson's in the fall of
2013. I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota. My principal problem currently is
difficulty with walking. Most of your posts concern more advanced stages
of Parkinson's than mine, but I have benefitted from your experience with
the disease and I'm very glad to have found this listserv.

My sister came across this BBC article and posted it to me yesterday.
