Dear CGC members, I’m writing to invite you to join the Association for Writing Across the Curriculum (AWAC). This new professional organization’s mission is to promote WAC/WID/CAC programs, pedagogy, and scholarship. Read more about the mission here and about its history here.
We have recently opened membership, as we now have an elected board, a membership platform, and are getting ready to start committee work. In fact, this is a great time to join, as many of the committees will hold first meetings in mid-February.
I have copied the membership announcement below. Take care, Michelle.
*************************
Benefits of Membership:
Membership Levels:
Individual Membership: All individuals who become members during the first year of the organization (between January 16, 2019 and December 31, 2019) will be named Founding Members and will be listed on the website.
Institutional Membership: All institutions that become members in the first year (before December 31, 2019) will be named Founding Institutions, and will be listed on the website, along with program profiles.
Sponsor a Graduate Student
When you register for membership, you will be invited to sponsor a graduate student membership for an additional $10. You may choose to sponsor a specific graduate student’s membership or any graduate student who seeks AWAC membership. AWAC is providing this option to encourage support for graduate students interested in WAC.
