Hi everyone, SOCAAR is pleased to announce our next Seminar: Wednesday, February 3, 2021 3:00 - 4:00PM Dr. Vishal Verma Assistant Professor Civil and Environmental Engineering University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign Oxidative Properties of Ambient Particulate Matter - An assessment of the relative contributions from various aerosol components and their emission sources The capability of ambient particulate matter (PM) to generate reactive oxygen species (ROS), conveniently called the oxidative potential is proposed as a better metric for relating the PM pollution with health effects. In this talk, I would present our work on the measurement of oxidative potential of ambient PM from different geographical locations of the United States. Our current studies in this direction are helping to develop the useful insights on the origin of PM toxicity leading to a better assessment of the human health effects of ambient particulate pollution. ________________________________________________________________________________ Microsoft Teams meeting Join on your computer or mobile app Click here to join the meeting<https://teams.microsoft.com/l/meetup-join/19%3ameeting_NWQyMzI2ZmMtMzA2Yi00OWY4LWJlODAtMjExODQ5ODZhZmNh%40thread.v2/0?context=%7b%22Tid%22%3a%2278aac226-2f03-4b4d-9037-b46d56c55210%22%2c%22Oid%22%3a%2276a2f469-c5cc-446a-8132-c4bf6f5856ed%22%7d> Or call in (audio only) +1 647-794-1609,,595034236#<tel:+16477941609,,595034236#> Canada, Toronto Phone Conference ID: 595 034 236# Find a local number<https://dialin.teams.microsoft.com/d82c5eb5-d575-428c-bac3-869ecf09d547?id=595034236> | Reset PIN<https://mysettings.lync.com/pstnconferencing> Learn More<https://aka.ms/JoinTeamsMeeting> | Meeting options<https://teams.microsoft.com/meetingOptions/?organizerId=76a2f469-c5cc-446a-8132-c4bf6f5856ed&tenantId=78aac226-2f03-4b4d-9037-b46d56c55210&[log in to unmask]&messageId=0&language=en-US> ________________________________________________________________________________
