To date\, there are over 500 facilities with licenses to cultivate cannabis. Of these\, almost 25% are located in British Columbia\ , with some of the largest cultivation greenhouses being located or develo ped in the Metro Vancouver region. As the number and size of cannabis cult ivation facilities (CCFs) have grown\, so have odour-related complaints\; a report from March 2019 listed 326 complaints in Metro Vancouver over a 1 2-month period. The odours associated with CCFs are caused by emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs)\, which can also increase formation of health-damaging pollutants such as ground-level ozone (O3) and particulate matter (PM). As such\, air quality regulators have begun exploring option s to curb these emissions. In this talk\, I will highlight ongoing work in the Metro Vancouver region to understand CCF emissions from an interdisci plinary lens. This includes the development and deployment of a citizen sc ience web application for reporting CCF odours and observed health effects (https://www.smell-vancouver.ca)\, modelling of odourous emissions and their dispersion\, and plans for real-world amb ient sampling of emissions from CCFs using mobile monitoring. The talk wil l also provide a high-level summary of identified knowledge gaps in our un derstanding of the air quality impacts of CCF facilities from the occupati onal to community scale.\n\n\n\n\n________________________________________ ________________________________________\nMicrosoft Teams meeting\nJoin on your computer or mobile app\nClick here to join the meeting\nOr call in (audio only)\n+1 647-794-1609\,\,317125206# Canada\, Toronto\nPhone Conference ID: 317 125 2 06#\nFind a local number | Reset PIN\nLearn More | Meetin g options\n_______________________________________ _________________________________________\n\n UID:040000008200E00074C5B7101A82E008000000006084DA97C400D801000000000000000 010000000CE13333DBB5E7242AE8B3FCF6B87DA81 SUMMARY;LANGUAGE=en-US:SOCAAR Seminar 2022 - Naomi Zimmerman DTSTART;TZID=Eastern Standard Time:20220112T140000 DTEND;TZID=Eastern Standard Time:20220112T150000 CLASS:PUBLIC PRIORITY:5 DTSTAMP:20220103T221922Z TRANSP:OPAQUE STATUS:CONFIRMED SEQUENCE:0 LOCATION;LANGUAGE=en-US:Microsoft Teams Meeting X-MICROSOFT-CDO-APPT-SEQUENCE:0 X-MICROSOFT-CDO-OWNERAPPTID:1440946150 X-MICROSOFT-CDO-BUSYSTATUS:TENTATIVE X-MICROSOFT-CDO-INTENDEDSTATUS:BUSY X-MICROSOFT-CDO-ALLDAYEVENT:FALSE X-MICROSOFT-CDO-IMPORTANCE:1 X-MICROSOFT-CDO-INSTTYPE:0 X-MICROSOFT-SKYPETEAMSMEETINGURL:https://teams.microsoft.com/l/meetup-join/ 19%3ameeting_MmZjMzc3ODMtYzYwMi00NTUyLWFkZGEtZDhiMzZiMWI5Zjk5%40thread.v2/ 0?context=%7b%22Tid%22%3a%2278aac226-2f03-4b4d-9037-b46d56c55210%22%2c%22O id%22%3a%2276a2f469-c5cc-446a-8132-c4bf6f5856ed%22%7d X-MICROSOFT-SCHEDULINGSERVICEUPDATEURL:https://api.scheduler.teams.microsof t.com/teams/78aac226-2f03-4b4d-9037-b46d56c55210/76a2f469-c5cc-446a-8132-c 4bf6f5856ed/19_meeting_MmZjMzc3ODMtYzYwMi00NTUyLWFkZGEtZDhiMzZiMWI5Zjk5@th read.v2/0 X-MICROSOFT-SKYPETEAMSPROPERTIES:{"cid":"19:meeting_MmZjMzc3ODMtYzYwMi00NTU [log in to unmask]"\,"private":true\,"type":0\,"mid":0\," rid":0\,"uid":null} X-MICROSOFT-ONLINEMEETINGCONFLINK:conf:sip:[log in to unmask]\;gru u\;opaque=app:conf:focus:id:teams:2:0!19:meeting_MmZjMzc3ODMtYzYwMi00NTUyL WFkZGEtZDhiMzZiMWI5Zjk5-thread.v2!76a2f469c5cc446a8132c4bf6f5856ed!78aac22 62f034b4d9037b46d56c55210 X-MICROSOFT-DONOTFORWARDMEETING:FALSE X-MICROSOFT-DISALLOW-COUNTER:FALSE X-MICROSOFT-LOCATIONS:[{"DisplayName":"Microsoft Teams Meeting"\,"LocationA nnotation":""\,"LocationUri":""\,"LocationStreet":""\,"LocationCity":""\," LocationState":""\,"LocationCountry":""\,"LocationPostalCode":""\,"Locatio nFullAddress":""}] BEGIN:VALARM DESCRIPTION:REMINDER TRIGGER;RELATED=START:-PT15M ACTION:DISPLAY END:VALARM END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
