I think that REED-L should stay in operation as an automatic list. Occasionally there are items of interest posted on it, which is a much better arrangement than that found on so many other lists, where there is nothing of interest posted all of the time. Volume is not the same as quantity. REED-L does infrequent but always good service for the scholarly community. Let's spare Prof. Abigail any further trouble by allowing the list to go automatic, but let's not shut it down just because it isn't cluttered with junk like all the other lists (except the list on the advancement of Tunisian science, which is less active than REED-L).
