Hello, I have PD too. I am just beginning to have serious problems with my ability to perform my job. I face a layoff within the next few months. I am covered by a health care plan through my employer. Hence, I was not particularly concerned about the retail price of the drugs for PD. I did a small survey of drug prices and was shocked at the expense. With these prices, I would bet a penny that the drug companies are are not trying to find a cure for PD, but instead are looking for a better Sinemet. If a cure for PD were found, then the drug profits would dry up for Sinemet and price for the cure would be astronomical.
