This little poem appeared in the March 1994 issue of "The Parkiknson",
the magazine of the Parkinson's Disease Society (UK). I thought you
might enjoy it.

Coming to terms with Parkinson's
--------------------------------
by Doris Taylor

Learn to accept, its the only sure way
Of coping with problems that come to stay,
There must be a reason to suddenly find
A persistent fear of leaving behind
All the things you intend to do, all need to be done
Yet surely it is "now" that matters, so why not have fun?

Live each day as a bonus, be happy, feel free,
Make the most of each moment, and so it can be
A time of endevour, to do all you can,
But only those things you feel matter and plan,
A life that has no regrets, no worry, no fears,
And when life is over, there need be no tears.
