Some faciomaxillary surgeons are using a derivative of the toxin from
Clostridium botulinum (Botox) to weaken muscles that cause frown line
problems. Botox has been used effectively in treatment of overactive muscle
problems including over-blinking and facial tics. Botox has been used in
some patients with dystonia not related to Parkinsons. Does anyone know of a
parkinsonian with dystonia who has had good or bad results with Botox? And
YES, Botox comes from the bacillus that causes botulism - food poisoning.
