Call American Parkinson's Disease at 1-800-223-APDA and ask them to send you the APDA Educational Supplement No. 2 "Swallowing and the Parkinsonian." Ask them if they have any information on balance problems as well. Get the book: PARKINSON'S DISEASE - The Complete Guide For Patients and Caregivers - by Abraham Lieberman, M.D. (who is Chairman of the medical advisory board of APDA). MAKE SURE THE BOOK IS THE LATEST EDITION - l993. Books older than that just don't do it as there are a lot of changes happening all the time - in fact as we speak.
