Dear Cherilyn Young: Go to your library or book store and get the book -
PARKINSON'S DISEASE - The Complete Guide For Patients and Caregivers - by
Abraham Lieberman, M.D. (Chairman of the Medical Advisory Board, American
Parkinson Disease Association) 1993 Edition. Lots of PD drug information in
this book.
Also - Debra Gangale, MA, CCC, Speech/Language Pathologist is in private
practice in Vero Beach, Florida. She wrote a manual on facial, oral and neck
exercises to promote improved swallowing, chewing, articulating and facial
tone. Call her at (407)778-9760.
The APDA will have articles you can have by calling 1-800-223-APDA. Ask to
speak to Dr. Maestrone or his assistant as the person who answers the phone
at APDA is always new and doesn't know much. You can get the address and
phone number of the APDA Information and Referral Service closest to you and
call them for a list of local PD support groups.
I hope I have been of some help.
