This is available in health food stores, very reasonable in bulk form.   Take
a teaspoon a day with cereal, salads, in food, etc.  Initially it causes gas
but this will subside.  Increase the amounts to as much as two tablespoons a
day, also including roughage in the diet--vegetables, fruit, bran cereals as
tolerated.  I was able to eliminate the Metamucil, etc.  and require just a
small amount occasionally now.  Previous to this regimen I had constant pain
in one side and was on the verge of impaction.
 
Re:  fluid/salivation
 
Has anyone noticed an increase in fluid shortly after taking Sinemet?  It
seems my nose starts running, for example.  This makes me wonder if the
medication itself causes some excess.
