I'm a new observer to this list. My Father (74) was recently diagnosed= with a mild case of Parkinson's. Although he was told something= else would probably kill him before the Parkinson's gets severe,= he's an information nut and is interested in gathering all he can. I've been reading some of the more pratical postings and forwarding= them to him. Two motives: First to get him the information. Second= to get him interested in having an Internet account. I think he'd= enjoy being online (he's a widower of 2 years) and this may be a= practical demonstration. He asked I post the following resource which he found particularly= helpful: The Parkinson's Handbook Dwight McGoon, MD WW Norton, NYC Hard to find in bookstores, available from: JA Majors Co. 1851 Diplomat Drive Dallas, TX 75234-9014 800-633-1851 McGoon was a Mayo surgeon when he was diagnosed Parkinson's and had= to retire. Art emphasizes this is not to be confused with The Handbook= of Parkinson's. Thanks for the information you all post. It is appreciated.
