Subject: Parkinsonian Publications

Dear Barb and PARKINSN friends,
I wonder if information has reached this forum about a quarterly renaissance
magazine being published by and for individuals with Parkinsons? The
publication is free to you after you regist er. Sample issues are available
for the cost of shipping/handling, $2.50 for a set of four. Write to the
following address:

Parkinsonian Publications
Barry Green, Ed.D, Chairman
4801 Richmond Road
Tyler, TX 75703
(903/509-3211)

If you write or call, please mention that you heard about it from PARKINSN
ListServ, as posted by Ray Thompson, so Barry can know the source.

This publication (now in its 4th issue) is the realization of a dream by Dr.
Barry Green to publish writings, art, and music created by Parkinsonians. He
has not only planned and edited this very unique new publication (wait until
you see it!), buty has raised the financial support to that it can be send to
Parkinsonians free of charge, via the non-profit Parkinsonian Publications.

A Parkinsonian himself, Barry's aim is to encourage those who share this
disease to use and exhibit their talents, thereby encouraging one another.
Barry has assembled a talented team of other Parkinsonians (or other
disability) to help him. He also plans to publish material other than the
magazine. (I am pleased and proud that my Parkinsonian sister has some of
her poetry in several of the first issues).

Speaking personally, I hope those of you (like me) who do not have PD but
have family or friends who do will help in spreading the word about this
imaginative effor by Dr. Barry Green. I suggest that one way we can do this
is to order copies to distribute as a surprise gift, sending a DONATION to
encourage the non-profit effort. Thanks!
