Hi to all home improvers A quick reply with ideas from our renovation shower grab bars shelf for shampoo to access when seated I like bare floors and bare feet for floor sensation and balance but it gets cold in winter Flat tight woven carpet is good Dont have those little raised strips at doorways--they're killers HAVE enough space in bathroom for a stool for the times you are too tired to stand dont forget the toilet grab bars We used a closet beside the bathroom for shower space upstairs and we put a walk in shower in the main floor bathroom also. My walk in shower got its chair this past year (makes life easier when you can sit) recently I went looking for a chair to use while dressing. Ended with an office visitors chair, with arms, steady, strong, good square seat, not too high ( my short legs reach the floor). not cheap but better value than 'real' furniture Anne Rutherford
