Joanna: Merck and now DuPont Pharma have both evaluated the possibility of producing and then distributing liquid Sinemet. The drug in liquid form has a profound stability problem. Its shelf life being only about 24 hours. Such a preparation could not possibly be distributed in time ofr use even if it were manufactured. Many individuals, based upon advice from their physicians, prepare their own "home brew" of levodopa and carbidopas from standard Sinemet tablets. Often times they prepare the mixture by dissolving tablets in orange juice. I would not recommend trying this without winning approval of your doctor.
