Dear Friend: Thank you for your words of encouragement. We are ten years agao from diagnosis, and doing O.K. There are lots of bad times, but we both see it as a new stage in our lives. It could have been me with a stroke, and he would have looked after me. But happily both of us, maybe because both of us had life-threatening problems (him with a heart attack, me with a serious blood disorder) in the mid-eighties, so we're both living on borrowed time, and enjoying it!
