     Dear Pam:

There are several potential disadvantages to fetal transplant:

        1. Hemorrhage
        2. Seizures
        3. Rejection
        4. Imunosuppression (if this is used)
        5. Increased hallucinations / dementia

and most importantly, most reports show only a modest (and temporary)
improvement in symptoms. Fetal transplantation may prove an important
treatment modality in the future, but it is premature to recommend
     them to patients in general.
