Not only am I new to this list, but new to the internet as well. My interest
in PD started while helping my father find info on Shy-Drager Syndrome. We
have had a lot of support from various organizations including the Shy-Drager
Support Group, Vanderbilt Univ Med Ctr and the Milwaukee area APDA Caregiver
Support Group. My father died suddenly 31 May 1994, but I am still
interested in SDS and PD. I am surprised at the references to SDS in the one
week I have been on this list and am eager to hear more about hallucinations
and the acting-out-of-dreams disorder. Besides the hypotension of SDS,
hallucinations and active nights seem to have been my father's predominant
problems. His craziest dreams--which we all heard at one time or
another--were about golf and snakes.

I am a full-time (around the clock) caregiver for my father-in-law, who had a
massive stroke five years ago, but I'd do anything I could to promote
research and treatment for SDS and related disorders.
