I would like to correct an error in Bob Martone's very interesting posting. The drug whose anti-PD effects were accidentally discovered in the 1940's is amantadine (Symmetrel) and not L-DOPA. The usefulness of the latter was realized by Cotzias in the 1960's. Gaston L. Schmir
