For those sceptics of SOCIALIZED medicine, just look north to Canada.
We have had it for a long time and IT WORKS and when you ask folks about the
preferences of why one likes Canada vs. the U.S. to raise a famility, aside
form crime statistics, usually in first or second place is the "health care
program".

You will always find nooks and crannies for a critic to pick at in a
campaign to sell managed or unmanaged vs. socialized but ASK the recipients
vs. the managers and profiteers. I think if everyone in the U.S. was to get
a detailed layout of what socialized medicine means to Canadians and how
does it work, you'd have a hell of a different attitude. Costs of health
care ARE HIGHER in the U.S. and not as much goes around to as many of the
people. What sane rational justifictation is that. And give me a break about
the isolated fraction of a percent of total health care clients to justify
some megabuck surgery. Yeah y'all might have higher technology, but ask and
of the other countries who are under socialized med.

I don't think y'all realize that most of the civilized countries of the
world have some form of assistecd medical health plan (vs. privitized). Now
in this case it's not that U.S. is the leader with their system, they are
BEHIND the times much like the Metric conversion. Y'all are the LAST to
conform to what the rest of the world already has working living proof of
it's efficacy.
