The display will trace the development of this English legend from the ballads of the Middle Ages up to recent Hollywood films. The exhibition will be shown in Oldenburg in November 1995, after which it goes on a European tour in 1996. One section of the exhibition is called "Robin Hood Around the World" and is to contain books from many countries, showing that the stories about the Sherwood outlaws have achieved great international popularity. My letter is an appeal for donations of material for this section of the exhibition. If you have any non-British books, comics, magazines, etc., about Robin Hood or about references to the Robin Hood legend, which you no longer need, I would be delighted to receive them. All donors will be thanked in the catalogue. After the exhibition has finished its tour, anything you send will be stored here.
