hi, i spoke to dr. dogali in newyork about a pallidotomy for my grandmother, and he said that he won't operate on anyone with signicant cognitive impairment, which frankly my grandmother has. from all my reading about the procedure, it seems to me that relief of all the physical symptoms shouldn't be affected by cognitive factors. does anyone know what dr. iacono's position on this is? --- Seth L.
