Lucille Wright: Interesting! I onetime saw several children with cerebral palsy in my work with VNA in Miami. Now on occasion I am struck by similarities of CP and PD - especially in hand expression - fine motor - facial grimaces - stumbling gait - staring - drooling - stiffness. I wonder if birth trauma might also cause PD - lack of oxygen might damage 80% of the substantia nigra and one functions well until the aging process starts slowly destroying the remaining 20%.
