Several years ago I remember hearing a talk by someone about the historical differences between Canada and the U.S. in the teaching of writing--or something like that. I think it was at a Canadian Caucus at CCCC. Anyway I'd like to include something of that difference in tradition in a report we're preparing for a budgetary review committee.
