Does anyone know of a decent e-mail discussion that doesn't involve Jack Selzer? A number of times recently, in quite different contexts, his e-mail contributions have shattered the serious and scholarly atmosphere so essential to cognitive activity in cyberspace. I'm finding it diffi- cult to concentrate on weighty matters. I don't know if and when Selzer is about to leap from his lurking to drag the conversation down into banalities or personal insults.
