Hi Charles and welcome to PD Network,

My father has PD. He has had it for 10 years now. He is 66. During the
first 7 years of the disease, he showed no major signs of weakness, but after
that he started to get a little weaker. It all depends on what you do with
your time. My dad insisted on continuing to work on his private business
which was very tiresome and he was always under a lot of pressure. This
difinately did not help. He wasn't sleeping well and all added to his
beworsening conditions. My advice to you is to keep working until your work
becomes a burden and when it puts pressure on you just quit and save your
self the headache. Enjoy life. Avoid depressing things.
