Shawn I've been out of town and haven't responded to my e-mail. Regarding the cost of pallidotomy-it's about $12,000 in New York City. At this time medicare considers it an"experimental" procedure and refuses to pay for it. So do many of the insurance companies following the "lead" established by Medicare. Until this changes patients have to pay this out of their pocket. The good news is that the hospitalization is almost always covered.
